I have a Huawei S7 Slim Model: S7-201w.

I've rooted the device using SOC. It tells me the device is rooted.

In the app drawer I can see the Super User app. I can open the app without problem.

I've installed ADB and QtADB

I've installed Busybox.

I've installed Titanium Backup.

I've installed Terminal Emulator.

Here's what I need to know:

I've rooted a few Android phones and a Craig Tablet before. After rooting the devices I could look at the home screens and I could easily tell rooting occurred. The S7 Slim screen appears the same.

What did I miss?

One of the big reasons for rooting was to give more flexibility to the home screens. When I installed a replacement launcher (Launcher Pro) it froze the screen. Did the same thing before rooting. Thank God for QtADB This is why I'm wondering if I missed something.

Any help would be appreciated ... Many, many thanks in advance.

Simply rooting the device shouldn't change the appearance of anything. If Titanium Backup is working you have root.

About the only thing that visibly will change is that you should have a "Superuser" application in your apps.
