installing external sd card

Got the little flap open, push the little sd card in...it's kind of spring loaded in there. The tablet doesn't 'see' the card. On the settings page no highlighted 'mount card' no recognising new memory. Btand new 16GB card bought with the Vizio. This table is starting to make me feel OLD.....

Try formatting the card just to make sure it is ok.

That is one way - if you have a card reader you can insert the card and then go into my computer and format that way...

Are you installing the card when the tablet is powered on or off?

Make sure the card is all the way in. Use something non-metallic to push on the edge (fingernail?).

I did that too but found out I didn't have it pushed in far enough, I took a pencil and pushed it in

Thanks everyone. This forum is the best. I tried the easiest recommends first. Thanks Spider and Birdcrazie. I was being too cautious. Finally pressed the card in a bit more with a tiny screwdriver and it snapped into place. Note to anyone else with this question...the tiny card inserts into the case BEYOND FLUSH.
