Le Pan II - Speaker volume

I love everything about the New Le Pan II except the Maximum volume is about half what the tc970 will crank out. I opened a case with Le Pan regarding this issue. They do not have a remedy at this time but suggested there may be Volume booster applications available on the Market that might help. I took a look and most are meant to boost volume with headphones or require root.

Anybody have a solution for this? A way to boost the speaker volume, an app that works or a good set of small external speakers maybe?

thanks spaceboy. that seemed to do the trick. i used "EQ" from the android Market and used the heavy metal pre set. much louder now.
