Marketplace anomalies

I have an M701/E7002 with preinstalled marketplace.

Im noticing that the in the background, the system is attempting to download (unsuccesfully) apps that I never even searched for or clicked on. I thought it was random until have seen one of the apps "StudioKUMA BusInfo" a bus directory of Hong Kong buses.

Why would the system be attempting to download this app without my permission?

Is it actually an update for some app that came preinstalled? You might want to go into Settings->Applications->Manage Applications and look for preloaded apps you may want to uninstall.

That was my point. None of those apps had ever been installed.

Maybe a hacked version of the Market Place that wants to sniff for your data?!

Perhaps you could try to reinstall the Market Place with a version from another place^^
