Need help getting started with MID Android tablet

I bought a MID Android 2.3 Tablet from Ebay. I received it today. When I turn it on there is a lock in the bottom right hand side that I can't get past. I was going to set-up WIFI but not sure how. The User Manual that came with it is not much help. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

hi happy new year
I got the same tablet for xmas - put you finger on the lock and slide it upwards if this does work there is a reset button on the bottom edge get a pin and press this in screen will turn off - then start tablet up again and unlock screen as above hope this helps

me again withregard to wifi - go to settings select wifi enable wifi then go to wifi settings you can then scan for your wifi
