first, i'm not tech saavy at all. posting this message has taxed my knowledge. but i'd like some helplearning how to stream or download videos/movies. if netflix or hulu worked, this would be the perfect tablet for me. i would love to be able to watch full episodes of tv shows and full length movies. what are the apps or websites that would work with the acer iconia a500?

For now, just go to CBS TV Network Primetime, Daytime, Late Night and Classic Television Shows in your browser to watch full episodes of CBS shows.
That will hold you till netflix is released for this tablet.

I think all the channels are in Eastern time, but I haven't been able to confirm that. Quality isn't great, but it's live TV.
