I've been working on this project to see if it would work. Everything works from the gallery right down to the last app. Still some bumps and grinds still.. I can be done from scratch. And no update.zip was used in this process. Only for installing the OEM run after than none!

Patches are use in testing. But some don't want to keep on adding passwords and changing setting every time a new update comes out. So here comes the Patch. If I design the full release to be able to get a patch now and then that will speed it up. If something has to be removed then a full update instead of patch.

This project is backed-up. This would be another option for those who want to use the default OEM but with some extra features.

Droid Explorer is your best friend here...

1. Z4Root to root it
2. ClockWork Recovery (backup the OEM)
3. Market Push
4. HC-OB10 PATCH

Number 2 and 3 can be inserted in Droid Explorer using USB to 7015 to remote control it to install *.img or update.zip under OEM. As you know everything works in OEM.

All you need is ADB drivers on your system Windows (all) (all bit) found here
Droid Explorer
USB cable
kyros
ClockWork recovery.img file

Once the above is ready all you need to do is turn on your tablet.
Connect USB cable to the tablet and to the PC
Next launch Droid Explorer on the PC
Copy the recovery.img to your NAND or APPS folder
Then using Droid Explorer select [Fl] icon red in color
Select the NAND or APPS folder and recovery.img
Select Okay and then you should be prompted
Install update and reboot into recovery mode
That's it your done don't forget to remove the USB cable

Shown below is the DROID Explorer

Are you saying just the apps showing on the screen are installed, everything else cleaned out? If so, I'd be interested.

tipstir, your just all over, you must flash your coby so many times. lol

i learned from yours though, i used adroid tweaker to set my lcd density to 200 & my dalvic cache to 48. got android assistant & wifinder, i use es file manager, got the honeycomb wallpaper. everything runs smooth.

i like the stock launcher & taskbar, so i'm all set. the only other thing i was going to do was remove the extra apps that came with market.

You can use Droid Explorer and Root Explorer to remove apps that won't remove otherwise.

@tipstir: I know you have been exceptionally busy finishing HC vB9 & your many other projects, but how is this replacement OEM coming? Any more performance enhancements?

I'll go back to it soon I wanted to get B7Patch out.. See if I could overlay a patch so everyone would be happy and not loose their settings in a full package update. OEM works the same way. Once you root it just drop the package patch into it. OEM Patch would be different. I that' show I was doing all this time. Never bother with any other ROM. But everyone wanted HoneyComb ROm.

HC-OB1 coming soon.

This will give those of you another option to keep the OEM ROM which you have rooted with Z4Root and already patched with Market update push. Now with HC-OB1 you'll be able to get HoneyComb look or whatever you want. Still have all the apps like gallery and such working and animation loaded boot-animations of your choice.

So again if you have the OEM ROM, just get Z4Root which is available here and then you have your tablet rooted. Next follow post number #1 to get Clockwork Image onto the tablet so quick and easy. No complex Android text commands to type out carefully. Then reboot into the Clockwork, then select backup. So you can backup everything. Insert Market update. Your done you could backup that too. Next will be the HC-OB1 Patch since it's a patch you won't loose your settings. Nothing has to be wipe or reset to factory defaults. Just get a clean new HoneyComb ROM along with the tweaks for it.

Okay, picked up another 7015 at PCRichards & Son for $129.99 plus $29.99 for 16GB Mobile Class (4) MicroSDcard. Saved $20 bucks after bargaining with them They wanted $39.99 for MicroSDHC listed online. This one will be use for this project. My other one will use the current B9 Honey Comb Blazing Speed!
