Regarding/acct/uid/ what is this?

I'm looking at the files on my 7024 and I see under acct/uid/ loads and loads of numbered file folders with tasks inside of them. What are these numbered file folders? Can they be deleted? They take up a lot of space. Thanks!

They are hidden files (programs, so to speak) DO NOT DELETE THEM.
