removing an email account

I bought a tablet that was used.. It has an email that can't be removed. tried following instructions and it won't go away....what to do????

Do you know what version of the Android operating system is installed on the tablet? IF you tell us what model tablet you have we can provide more help. On most tablets it is a matter of going into SETTINGS / ACCOUNTS & SYNC, opening the account you want to remove, then clicking the little icon in the upper right to do so.

I have the same problem as Venacardwell59 has.
There is an Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on my Navon Platinum 10 tablet.
Could you help me cancel Gmail account from it?

Try this: Go to settings, scroll down to the accounts section. Tap Google. Tap your gmail account so the [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]Sync[/COLOR][/COLOR] screen appears. Tap the three little dots in the upper right hand side and choose Remove Account.
