We are selling this really neat little device called MK808. It connects to your TV via an HDMI cable and turns your TV set into a giant Android Tablet!

Check out the video below to see it in action!

It’s awesome! We’ve all been trying it on our TV’s all week in the office, its perfect for users who mostly use their tablets for watching media or streaming online movies or youtube etc. It’s amazing how they managed to fit all the standard hardware into the little box aswell; RK3066, Mali 400, 1GB DDR3, 8GB hard drive and wifi module!

It’s running JellyBean as well and outputs in full HD 1080p. Obviously there’s a bunch of stuff it can’t do; 3G, camera, g-sensor, Bluetooth etc... and you’ll need to get a mouse or controller or something to manipulate the OS and play games as there is no touch screen.

But it’s got enough ports to accommodate all the necessary hardware and peripherals and on the whole is very well thought-out. Maybe the resolution is a slight downside as the screen tends to stretch in most cases and we haven’t as of yet found a way to re-calibrate it to fit perfectly. But honestly you won’t really notice once you get going.

For £50 ($80) it seems like a no-brainer, but remember you’ll need some extras (mouse/keyboard/games controller) so budget for closer to £100 ($160). However, even at this price it’s still a very good buy and given the spectrum of apps available at Google Play now the MK808 can become a very strong multi-media games console!

Here’s the specs:

For what ever reason, my new MK808 is not coming out 1920x1080 but its actually 1024 x 720 and stretching to fit. I don't know if its just mine, or indicative to the current rom, or what, but its almost unusable like this.
