I have got an apad,
it has typical Apad look, Blue led, 9V charger, but the webcam is on the left side.

The background image on the desktop is blue with the text Rockchip software development kit 1.3.2.

It is the Android 1.5 but somehow crappy because Market does not work (it says that device cannot be identified)
On the top of the screen (close to the home icon) it shows an icon of broken SIM card.
Wifi works quite well.

MID information shows:
model # sdkDemo
firmware version 1.5
kernel version 2.6.25 rockchip version 1.2.7 (fh-tong samsung)
build # laoTang.eng.temp.20100821.145608

CPU info shows
Processor ARM926EJ-S rev 5 (v5l)
BogoMIPS : 389.00 (this is not an error)
CPU architecture : 5TEj
Hardware : rk28board

I seems to have 128 MB RAM and 2GB Flash

Have anyone ever seen that model ?
What processor is inside - 389 BogoMIPS ?
Is there any firmware to update it ?

I am waiting for yours advices.

That's weird. Sounds like someone bothered to overclock the CPU a little, actually. Do you have pictures?

Utopia CN did say they had a new plastic shell (batch 4) to be released sometime. Maybe this is it.

There are two photos
on the front view you can see the camera on the left side.
connectors from the left: charger, audio out, miniusb, on/off switch, miniusb, microSD, microphone

If you can advice me how to export print-screen/snapshots i will place other screens with info.

I think that the unit is rooted - because I can see system directories like /proc ...

I may also have this device. The camera on the left side is the distinguishing feature:
$features.jpg

Reference: my posts on Slatedroid.

Reference Irat's post on the Hiapad blog.

I am not able to connect to this device with ADB, though ADB finds my phone without difficulty. Is there another way to access cpuinfo?

I have a suspicion one could fake the "About MID" data in setup merely by setting char strings in the ROM. True or false?

Ideas?
