Stylus question

I'm getting a resistive touch screen tablet for note taking and as an e-reader. I was wondering what a good and cheap stylus would be for this.

I was thinking I could just use a mechanical pencil without lead but am worried that will scratch the screen

Resistive? Not many of them around any more. Most office supply stores still sell cheap PDA type styli, usually in a multi pack. I would not use the pencil.

thanks for the info. Yeah, I got the resistive because it allows for detail in notes and I don't want to do notes with my finger.
