Sylvania 7" mini tab browser crashing

My girlfriend just purchased a Sylvania 7" mini tablet. The last couple of times that I tried surfing the net the browser kept crashing, with espn.com being the one that crashed the most. Is there anything that I can do to remedy this?

don't use the stock browser, get yourself dolphin or skyfire
