I got update pushed here *Australia*, downloads fine , reboots, but when it tries to update it fails. Rooted here anyone else same prob.

Well afaik its not Honeycomb 3.1 so i don't really care about this

EDIT : Replaced Hero of Sparta back to system and update worked - lost ROOT, dont think i will root again unti next update Honeycomb 3.1

I just got the update (australia) ~23mg ...download..restarted..installed...restarted.. settings say 3.0.1

Looks like Canada is getting the update as well. I tried a second time to apply the update. This time I listened to the prompt to make sure that it was plugged into power prior to continuing and it worked. Now on version 1.139.05.

OK, those who got the update...did you guys have the screen turning on and off in sleep mode problem before the update? If so, has the problem been solved with the update?

Really? That hardly bothers me at all. It goes back to sleep quickly. It's just not that big of an issue to me.

im in canada and i recieved the update. it asked me to charge until at least 30% battery remaining ( i was at 15%) and then install.

yep all fixed for me now, no longer waking up when on sleep.

BTW my browser is now flying, quicker than my pc 4 sure

There are no fcc barriers to releasing an operating system update.
There no hardware changes, no new radios. No carrier changes are involved.

Maybe it wasnt FCC then, but there are still checks that must be done before the updates are allowed in the US. This is what SonyEricsson told me. (I know its not Acer, but the same concept applies)

Mine must have updated randomly, because now it is 3.0.1. Time to check out if the screen on/off issue is still happening.

What would change here is the build number
