Touch screen partially unresponsive

Hello everybody, I have a problem with my tablet.
Sometimes when I want to press a button in a menu or write something, I have to tap the screen 3 times instead of once, and it's very annoying.
Let's say I wanna press the key 'S' in the keyboard, I must tap it 3 times.
Another thing that I'm not sure if related, but every time I try to send a voice message on whatsapp (You have to hold down a green button) I can't send a message over 7 second long because the tablet believe that I raise my finger after 7 seconds.

The sliding function seems to work well though.

What happens if you tap an app, does it open on the first try?

Your explanation sounds as if the digitizer is failing. Get a micro fiber cloth and give the screen a good cleaning,

Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It's very weird.

I just did this as you suggested and it didn't work.
