transformer dock battery not charging tablet

Hi, hope someone can help....
not used my tablet in a while and I think the software has updated (to 4.2.1) - don't even know if that is relevant
The tablet is discharging to <10% with the dock showing at 95%.
Recharges when I plug the whole unit into the wall as you would expect, and then only the tablet discharges.
Display shows the dock % and the keyboard works fine so I guess the dock is OK.
I have completed a hard reboot (twice!!!) and the problem persists.
The software is uptodate.
It is an asus transformer prime.
Any suggestions?

That sounds strange. Did you check for updates with the TF docked?

thanks for reply, I did check with the dock connected.
I also disconnected and then reconnected and the display changed to recognise the dock battery had gone and then come back - all as expected.
