trying to root my 3.2.1

So I following the steps to root my 3.2.1 by downgrading to 3.0.1 to start process. However when I download and place the update.zip file on my sd card and attempt to reboot by turning off and holding down and power I get the green andoid guy with an exclamation point and nothing else happens. Any suggestions.

He provides all needed tools to root via Backdoor and also gives the instructions in a PDF file (Word too I think).

probably not a good file, try a different one.
