Vizio tablet won't update! Help please

Hey guys, just picked up my vizio tablet at Walmart earlier tonight, seems pretty nice but I can't get it to update. It just says "your vizio tablet is checking for updates." Right now its been going for like 15 minutes and never finds anything and never stops. Software version says VIA Plus 1.1 and from reading here i'm pretty sure this isn't the latest.

Solved!! I rebooted and it popped up a message saying my tablet requires an update.
