want android apps but i dont have an android # linked to my account

Hi! i have a nook color and i am trying to download cool apps from he android market into my device. I already have my device addapted to support apps (i just download angry birds from B&N for example) but now i want to dowload Kindle for example...
when i go into android market and attempt to do it it asks me to log in, so i log in and then it says that i dont have a phone linked to my account so i cant proceed...
How can i dowload android apps to my nook if i dont have an android phone?
Please help!!!! im totally lost here, and im not very good with this things...

You should be able to use any phone number, try your home or work number and see if it works.
You can always get a Google Voice number, its free,, that might also work.

The problem may be that you didn't use a GMail acct when you registered your Nook. Then, when you register for your Android Market acct, you have to use the same acct.

Hi Ana, reading your post it actually sounds like you are not rooted. In that case you would only be able to buy apps from B&N. If you tried to go to the Android Market say through your browser it would give you that message. To have the actual Market app you need to root or use a custom ROM.
