I am wanting to make some custom wallpapers for my a500. What size should I make them?

Its kind of a mess, because getting a wall paper to look good in either landscape or portrait is a bit tricky.

It has a template that you can save in your favorite image editor and then size and paste your wallpaper into and then
save it.
Its a bit of a pain in the neck.

try Multipicture Live Wallpaper. Free at android market. Makes wallpaper from any picture in your pic gallery.

I made a template that doesn't scale, so HD images look HD.

To answer the question, to load a wallpaper that won't scale your image should be 1918 x 1406.
1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080 work really well, just not perfect.
