anyone using MD1045?

Hi Guys,

I'm new to android tablet systems and last Saturday I bought an md1045.

Now my problem is I want to use the built-in calendar app on my gmail account (Yes I know that the only option is MS exchange which I have on my lab). my question is would there a root it or apply google apps?
