do i have to flash via cwm the adb? i didnt do that is that the reason why i lost the storage?

If you don't have adb setup, you can use the same command from a terminal window on your tablet. Here's my 7042 output:

root@android:/ # busybox df -h
busybox df -h
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
tmpfs 407.1M 60.0K 407.1M 0% /dev
tmpfs 407.1M 0 407.1M 0% /mnt/asec
tmpfs 407.1M 0 407.1M 0% /mnt/obb
/dev/block/nandd 393.7M 206.1M 187.6M 52% /system
/dev/block/nande 1.5G 550.6M 961.2M 36% /data

/dev/block/vold/93:64

root@android:/ # df -h
df -h
Filesystem Size Used Free Blksize
-h: No such file or directory
1|root@android:/ #

The change you made copies the files to the system directory. the system directory is ~300mb.
It does nothing to change the system partition, or any partition size, so you have lost nothing but a small amout of space in the system partition.

As you can see, the partitions are similar in size between the 2 tablets. On my 7042, I have dozens of apps loaded. The limited storage makes one more efficient.

With the 7065 software, you have playstore and working google apps. Adding gapps in the 7042 worked for the most part, but certain features didn't work. I'd say youv'e done a good thing for your tablet.

I have no ideal what you are talking about.

kheemt stated in another post that he thoght his 7060 had 16gb of storage before the change to the 7065 software. Now he says, he only has 1gb. I tried to explain that the software change has nothing to do with the tablet partitions.

kheemt has only made three posts, none state he had 16 GB nor do any state he flashed the 7065 rom, he is on stock 7060 rom, as he systems size clearly shows, had he installed 7065 his system would be using almost 300 MB instead of stock less than 225 MB.

He made several posts overnite that disappeared. Maybe mods.

OK, I didn't see them, anyway his used system is too small to be 7065. You can look at your own system used on your 8065, will be about the same as 7065, 7060, 1060, are much smaller as they don't have gapps installed.

Maybe i'm confused about the member, but he made several threads overnite that disappeared. Maybe mods.
Dunno how that happened. He had made duplicate posts which I merged, but I must have deleted the merged posts as well without realizing it. I've restored his post. In it he claims to have flashed his 7060 with 7065 firmware, but assuming vampirefo is right, then he must have done something wrong along the way.
