Files automatically deleting on SD card in Wondermedia WM8650 on initiation

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I hope that someone can help me.

I recently purchased a Wondermedia WM8650 7" tablet and a kingston 32GB mini SD card brand new off EBay. I firstly flashed the tablet using the latest Uberoid with success and then formatted the card. On the card I then copied a mix of PDF and Avi files.

What I found was that once the tablet booted up, the folders remained but the files were gone . I managed to have some luck keeping some files with a bit of experimenting but the results were never conclusive as to why some files remained and others are automatically deleted.

I'm new to Android and understand that it is Linux based but that's all. I hope someone here with years of android experience can help me out.

Updating to this post, the problem was actually a defective micro sd card. I bought a new one to test and all works fine. No to get the original one exchanged...that will be fun.
