Getting into clockwork recovery - 9042

Does anyone have any "good" directions for getting into clockwork recovery on the 9042?

I am using version 6.0.0.1 If I recall correctly. Sometimes I seem to get in, and sometimes not but playing vol up and power button on boot.


If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

The hardware combo is just hit and miss

use adb or download a terminal from playstore

adb shell

su

reboot-recovery

from terminal

su

reboot-recovery

Don't plug in the power cord if using the key combo on the tablet. It makes getting into cwm more difficult.

Props to you both for leading and organizing such great support for everyone out there. I read a lot on this forum before asking a question and was able to root 3 9042's, flashed with CWM, goo apps installed, and a slew of other apps (mostly games as they are for the kiddos) and it was a piece of cake thanks to you both.

What model tablet do you have? If you have a 9042 ( or 7042, 8042, 1042, 9742 or 9740 at least) check out the
first sticky post in the development index. you will find all the info on CWM and Gapps install.

If you have a 7036, 7048 or other telechips cpu, vampirefo has a thread, but so far, no CWM recovery.

my tablet is Mid7048 i've been searching 3 days for a CWM for my tablet to remount my internal SD memory coz the 2nd partition of my device is unusable but i completely rooted my device running in good condition then i can't install applications that need to save the data in sd card tsk

The sticky post at the top of the Generation 3 Development forum, the one you really can't miss because it says "READ FIRST" in its title, tells you exactly where to go to get your recovery and also how to put it on the tablet. You have asked this in another thread and were told to check the stickies, therefore this is the last time I will answer this question from you, because you're making me repeat myself, and that irritates me to no end.

Did you read this thread: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...0298-recovery-coby-7034-7036-7048-8048-a.html? I know you replied to it, but the reply had nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Unless you can help Vampirefo out in one of the ways mentioned in the first post of that thread, there will be no ClockworkMod recovery for your tablet.
