I need help putting android 2.3 on my Coby MID8024

I have tried everything from putting the update.zip on my SD card and on my tablet itself and everytime i get to the upgrade screen it says something about an image not found. Android 2.2 is very sluggish and not many apps work for it and i want to update it. If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated. I also downloaded a zip file from the google site and that still doesnt work. I really need help.

What kind of rom is that? Where did you get it? Your suppose to extract the zip or rar files to your external sdcard
