yes v2.1 3245 firmware is much more stable than Froyo 2.2

The froyo 2.2 we have is a ported one from Flytouch3/SuperPad2.

but i will sacrifice the unstable wifi with the new speed of froyo 2.2

Its kind of a bitter sweet pill, the froyo 2.2 rom is definatley faster/smoother, but I have flakey wifi & GPS has gone AWOL no matter what tricks I try to get it back.

If I knew that one of the guru's on this forum or the XDA devs was working on a upgrade then I'll hold out with 2.2. But I definately want GPS and wifi working properly so I'm planning to drop to the 3245 2.1 rom and loose the smoothness.

Is this 2.2 froyo cooked rom going to get developed??

You should PM rgocal, he is either working on that or he knows who actually is.

My pad came in generic box that said superpad. It also had froyo 2.2.1 on it with a version of android2_2_20110420...the bootloader is 0.6.1.5 but has no numbers in the parenthesis...I have no idea whats actually "newer" than this rom but I know I'd like a streamlined rom for it.
