Hi, I'm Rob in Yorkshire and new to Android being a mac guy for the last few decades. Switching because of the high price of macs and don't like the control they have. I have a Motorola Defy which I love and looking for suitable tablet. Asus transformer, 2 or slider?? but open to other suggestions. I like good build quality. I'm a writer and need a keyboard. Advice anyone?
    Thanks, Rob

I would go with yes, either the transformer, or wait a couple months. Tablets are coming out so fast, there's bound to be a 'more suitable' option in the near future, especially with the holiday season approaching.

If you are writing on a tablet, take a look at a Bluetooth keyboard. Extended writing without a keyboard is not practical in many instances.
