what do you mean Original update? and can you tell me how to wipe all my stuff? im not sure how. back onto the topic of original update. do you mean the one huawei will realease? or do you mean a new thing.

he means the original update that this 2.2.2 froyo came from (Indonesian Android 2.2.2 Update), there is a person here currently uploading it, i think he uploaded 30 out of 70 zips so far. He split it into 70 different zips because his upload speeds are slow.

it should be in english, i know when i flashed this version it was, and if not we can change it in the settings,
also to flash this,

1. Do you have clockworkmod recovery installed? if not go here

follow the instructions to flash the recovery.img

THEN, after successfully flashing.

download this rom, put it on the INTERNAL sd card.
reboot your S7 and hold the MENU and SEND button down while it starting and hold until you see the clockwork recovery.

MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT ROM!
that way you can restore back to it if you don't like this one.

THEN, WIPE Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache, goto Advanced Wipe Dalvik Cache

this should be fine.

errors? really, when i install i don't see anything. i have the BB-s7-104 version. what do you mean? also is it for both the odex and deodexed versions?
I did installed the odex one and the busybox is just copied in system but not installed(no symlink created) and a few more file are not copied because of the lack of space on system partition. If you want to see the errors after you flash a new rom you should use the report error function from CM recovery and you will have the log on your sdcard.
Your ideea to rename toolbox for every function that you need was briliant. What I did was to delete those files and edit update-script to create symlinks, then installations was correct after that with no errors.
Loocs like this:

No wifi for me no matter what.

Was anyone able to fix the wifi? I ran into the same exact issue, even after following the instructions carefully. It picks networks, but is unable to connect and obtain an IP address. It also doesn't have to do with the authentication type because it doesn't work with open authentication either.

Just a quick thought, and I maybe coming in half way, has anyone tried applying a static IP address to the device?

Yes, i tried assigning a static IP, still didnt work. It tried to connect, but then quickly disconnects. Then it does the same thing again. Over and over. I loved the ROM, and was going to stick to it, but i will need to at least have wifi working.

this is unfortunate, glad you liked the rom, personally i haven't switched back to 2.1 since i got the dump, some people can run this rom fine with wifi, other its buggy and then some can't even get this rom to boot, i'm going to try and get some help and get an output of the error and see what i can do about it.
