[ROM] Stock Jelly Bean, Rooted, Deodexed, Crapware Removed

Hi vampirefo.,

you remember, the LifeTab Lenovo S9714 aka IdeaTab A2109A. You has been changed succesfully the ROM.

The Tab work´s after a couple of days very well.

In the between time, I has received a changed Hardware-Script to LifeTab S9714 from the OnlineNandroid Backup-App for CWM.

It works too - you know, the Backup works on OS - you need not to boot in CWM-Recovery.

My question is, the CWM-Recover-image 6.0.1.9_d is for IdeaTab A2109A. It works but is inside the Image the Adresses - mount Points etc. right now for the S9714?
I send Hard- and Software Information about the Tab to the Developer from the Script, to Ameer Dawood. After this it has been changed the Hardware Script to "Medion_S9714 - kay".

First Backup from CWM failed in one item - Recovery was not backed up. In the between time it works both - CWM-Backup and Onandroid Backup. I don´t not why?

I found a website from Koushik Dutta, one of the Depeloper from Clockworkmode, where you can build CMW-Recovery.


Recovery Builder

After the Backup I load on the builder-site the recovery-image from Onlinenandroid Backup. The Recovery-Image has been succesfully generated. After the comparison with
the two recovery´s the A2109A_d_JB and the new one - the diff. is obout 1,5MB. ---> Correct - I used 2 diff. Filemanager, only 4 Byte diff.

What do you mean, can you take a look on the site and the files? Can I flash the new one with adb ? ( Any Reason against? )

I think, when this recovery is o.k. - only changed it´s name to Medion_S9714_A2110 - and this is a original CWM-Recovery-Image?

Jelly bean requires the jb version of cwm recovery to flash, so yes you must upgrade your recovery on your A2109 idea tab ,6.0.19 d I believe is the cwm for jb

on ICS you have to use "c" CWM for 4.0.4 (6.0.1.9c)
on JB you have to use "d" CWM for 4.1.1 (6.0.1.9d)

Remember:
1. the right CWM installed
2. Flash the ROM example Ver. JB 4.1.1
3. You have to change the CWM to JB with adb - after flash - don´t reboot. Only Power off!
4. Go in CWM Recovery
5. Flash Superuser 3.1.3 arm.zip - reboot
7. rename the recovery-from-boot.p to recovery-from-boot.p_bak in /System - If you do not next time you want to boot CWM-Recoverey you have lost.
8. Install BusyBox from Stericson - wait a little - then smart install !
9. Enjoy

I use superhansi's cwm 6.0.3.0 from Development: Cyanogenmod 10 for the A2109 - Page 12 - Lenovo Community

I like it because it can backup/restore to/from external ext4 formatted SD card. Others dislike it because it cannot backup/restore to/from fuse mounted emulated SD card.

Your mileage may vary on this topic.

I've updated my version of CWM to 6.0.2.8. I'll be updating the CWM and Root thread with the new link in a minute. I think it will work with ext4 of the external SD card, but I'm not positive.

@Louis777 better off sticking with mcl630's recovery, the online recovery builder builds two recoveries, touch recovery and regular cw recovery. the builder doesn't add back button menu, or it didn't the last time I checked it, the touch screen recovery most likely wont work on our tablets. Lenovo uses software drivers to line up our touch screen very cheap route to go.

He wrote on Page 12:

Make sure before you install rom, to wipe cache and data, via cw recovery. This rom is rooted, recovery files removed, update script edited.

I think, it is not deodexed.

It work´s fine.

It is possible that the circlebattery works there?

no rom isn't deodexed as this is stock rom, however it can be run through any kitchen and deodex it.
