Swollen battery

I have been noticing that the left edge of the screen on my EX7 was coming loose. Raising up away from the frame. I opened my tab to look. The battery pack is 2 flat parts. one of them is all swollen up. and it was spreading the tab open.
Any ideas? Can I replace the battery?

Yes you can. I've done it on one of my tablets. I bought a damaged tablet on ebay because I couldn't find a suitable replacement and transplanted the battery. Depending on the manufacture date, the battery is held in place by doubled sided thin tape or doubled sided foam tape. Chuck
