Hi,
Whether a tablet can be used continuously for atleast 7-8 hours on charge as a desktop PC for use in billing operations in a shop.

Yes, it may ultimately impact the battery life of the tablet if you want to use it off the charger (there is debate on this), but there is no problem using the tablet while on the charger for long periods.
