Good to to have your own APN's for Tablet or Netbooks that uses 802.11G @ 20MHz only keep them off the 802.11N @ 40MHz APN's.

here is a mod i did that added great signal strength. as well as being able to pick up the neighbors wireless signals 5 houses away.

cut 3" wire and soldered the length to the small metal antenna on the inside. drilled a small hole in the side of the unit and pulled the wire through. The rear of the case as well as the back of the lcd is metal encased. getting a small length of wire on the outside of the unit increases the signal about 10 times. your mileage may vary. I have been able to pick up networks and use them as far as two hundred to three hundred feet.

good luck $Photo_050511_001.jpg

Got the above for $29.99 at Target and had purchased two of them both run in 802.11g only @ 20MHz they both have High Power and 6dB for MIMO Multi-Beam.

Signal on both COBY KYROS is now 5 bars out of 5. I also run 802.11n @ 40MHz only so that network doesn't mix with the 802.11g @ 20MHz for the COBY 7015 / 7015A.
