January will see no shortage of Shanzhai IMX515 tablets. Here is a variant at 7". The hardware does look nicer than the iPad clone that is out there right now. And the price is okay.

Writer reported missing suspend mode and broken orientation typical of IMX515 tablets, but the firmware seems a little old, and these issues are generally fixable. USB host is also mysteriously missing. HDMI is not ready
Reported pricing is 780RMB per unit, probably factory direct. Retail should see prices closer to 1000RMB
Probably heading to international markets. Maybe we'll see this at CES? Looks like one of those products...
