Someone else had this issue and called ASUS. Their advice was to let the battery in the tablet run down until it is dead and will not turn on.

Charge it for about 10 minutes and it should turn on and with any luck it will have a usable touchscreen.

If not, you may have to RMA to ASUS for repair.

Put it in a fridge if its hot! Really, put it in a fridge for a while.

When it was ~30+ Celsius in my room problem appeared and cooling it worked for me twice already.

I've had this happen a couple times. Pop the back off the tablet and disconnect the battery lead to the mainboard. Wait a few seconds to reconnect, and it should be fine.
