Authentication Problem

I have a laser android 2373 tablet which has been working well until i received notification of 2 threats on it which have turned up before.At that time I took it back to where I had bought it from and they reset it back to factory settings, this is what I did with this latest lot.
Now I can not connect I keep getting Authentication problem.What do I do can any one help please.
I am with Vodafone here in Nz

We may need a little more information. Are you connected by way of 3G or 4G on the tablet or are you trying to connect to WiFi?

Failure to authenticate normally would be that you need to change the type of security, possibly to WPA/WPA2 if you are using WEP, or you may have an unusual passcode, one that Android doesn't care for, but that link should provide some clues.
