For users of the Targus leather folio meant for the HP Touchpad, a quick question please:
I ordered and received the same Targus Folio, but for the Ipad...the upper right corner is right above the power button, I am surprised you mention the corner not being in the way? plus with mine, my biggest beef (and it's pretty much a deal breaker): those pesky upper corners just won't stay in place! and once you close the folio, if you hold it upside down, the tablet could easily slide out of the folio straight on the floor....I've been trying to figure out a brilliant solution to force them to stay in place, but with that damn design, I don't see how it can be done...any comments and/or suggestions for current or future users? thanks!
I think your issue is that you ordered and received the case for the iPad and not the one recommended by Sir_Cus which is the one specifically designed for the HP Touchpad. According to a few on here it fits and works perfectly.
Thanks, but the upper right corner can only fit one way, which is, I assume, nicely fitted against the upper right corner of the tablet...if it's the case, then the power button is quite hard to reach...if you look at a picture, you'll see what i mean...thanks for your reply though!
Here is another one to try..... It has (2) 5-star reviews from Le Pan 970 owners. Could be promising for only $7.65 with free shipping... at least that is the price right now.
Amazon.com: Acase Premium Leather Slimline Carrying Case for Apple iPad and HP TouchPad (Black): Office Products
If you're a Canadian like me, you can get the case for $14.99 direct from the Targus.com Canadian site - best price I've seen. Staples.ca has the same case listed for $19.97.

I first ordered an iPad case from Amazon.com that was originally suggested as a 'match', but it was definitely NOT a good fit.
Like Sir_Cusfreak says, the Targus Leather Truss case for the HP Touchpad is a PERFECT fit. Once you slide the TC970 in under the leather corners the Power button is not obstructed and can be easily pressed without any part of the case being in the way.

It lists as $39.99, but when you click 'Add To Cart' it comes up as $14.99!
For my American friends, buying it from Amazon.com seems to be the best price, for some reason it's still full price on the Targus US page ($59.99?!):

Like Sir_Cusfreak pointed out in his review, you won't be disappointed.
As for the screen protector, I ordered this one from PosR.us (but haven't tried to put it on yet - I'll try when I have the chance to do it without distractions to avoid bubbles - haha):
Antiglare Antifingerprint Screen Protector for Le Pan TC 970 Tablet - PosR.us
I've also read that HP Touchpad screen protectors are a perfect fit as well, and even have a section cutout so not to obstruct the webcam.
Hope this helps!

I picked up the Technocel Folio for iPad from Verizon for $5.29 shipped. It's OOS right now.

It does grip the Le Pan well enough on the sides, but the corners are pretty loose. However, the tablet doesn't move or slide around so it seems okay. Definitely usable as-is. The iPad 1 was obviously a slightly bigger tablet.

It does close and latch perfectly, and stays shut with no problems.

One issue with latching shut, however, is it just latches with friction, so it tends to want to push the MicroSD door open as shown in this pic.

The solution is that I have to lift up a bit on the latch while closing it to get it to clear the edge of the MicroSD door. I suggested that clear tape over the door might help the latch slide over it, but my wife thought that would look bad.
When sitting on a flat surface, all the divots work to hold the tablet up.

Some people who have bought this for the HP Touchpad had tried heating up the tabs and bending them to fit - I tried this with a heat gun, and even with enough heat to make the material start to smell hot, it wasn't very bendy, so I don't know how people got it to bend unless they were willing to risk burning it (I backed off as soon as I could smell the material get hot). The tablet fits in it well enough and the price was right at ~$5 shipped, so no complaints! My wife loves it.
