I thought their was just the two, and pretty sure I'm ft5x cause when I installed the mobiz aurora It didn't support goodix. It's a 7042-4 ... touch screen is kinda sketchy after a drop (occasionally random touches) could that be why its not working? It works on stock, and steevs. On mobiz Aurora something is different. Like the screen auto rotation issue which is real odd.

The drop might be the cause I don't know, I know 1042 and 9742 both have 3 versions, so 7042 might also have 3 versions, something about your tablet is different than mine.

This could be why u can never reproduce the same results, still it seems like I'm the only one who gets these issues so until Its proved otherwise I'm just gonna assume this is just an individual problem that I am having...what's the difference in the third version of those tablets, guess one is ftx5 , one goodix and...

Yeah I couldn't get the touchscreen working either for at least an hour. Then again I have goodix I think.

Has anyone tried a DAC with the Kyros? I'm making mine into a car HU.

Already got USB Bluetooth + GPS working great, I was hoping to improve the audio output with something cheap like an Fiio E7.

I've seen this work on other CM9 roms, any warnings before I buy this thing would be appreciated.

hi, my bluetooth usb dongle does not work, someone help me.

I can get mine to work by starting the tab with it plugged in and turning it on once.

If I turn it off or disconnect it, I need to reboot he tab o get it working. Otherwise it seems to work alright for me.

What Bluetooth adapter do u use or what method did u use to get it working, some people are reporting problems so maybe the cheap bluetooth adapters are what's not supported.

This:
I don't know if this the right way but here's what worked for me:

I originally had the steev rom but after installing CM9 a few different ways, here are the last few steps that got it working. I apologize if I did anything wrong, I have no idea what I'm doing. :cool:

NOTE: I tried using the goodix oc mbr while trying to get this to work; I eventually flashed it back to stock. I have no idea if that factored into anything.

1) Go to recovery
2) wipe data/factory reset
3) mounts and storage --> format /cache
4) advanced --> Wipe Dalvik Cache
5) install zip from sdcard --> choose zip from sdcard --> CM9_7042.zip
6) install zip from sdcard --> choose zip from sdcard --> 7042_mv_bootloader.img.zip
7) advanced --> Fix Permissions
8) reboot system now

I ended up installing Jellybelly's Wifi Only mod to help the battery life.

9) recovery --> install zip from sdcard --> choose zip from sdcard --> jellybellys-mod-wifionly-2.zip
10) reboot system now

I'm really thinking this Bluetooth issue is simply a matter of spending 2 bucks more to get a higher quality Bluetooth adapter. I bought the cheapest 1 which is just bluetooth 2.0 and has no a2dp support. works on ubuntu and XP but I think it's too old for Android.

You should have made a backup, dump before you flashed this rom.

cat /dev/block/nanda > /sdcard/dump/bootloader.img

above will get the bootloader.img but if you didn't backup the boot.img then it's been over written by the one is the cm9 zip.

I'm a semi noob as Im only good at following direction.
when i just installed the cm9_7042 alone WITHOUT Multi-Version (7042_mv_bootloader.img.zip) bootloader my tablets touch screen WAS NOT working. ... but...
To fix the touch screen issue issue I followed just the above steps 1-8 ( which INCLUDED the 7042_mv_bootloder.img.zip) and my cm9 coby kyros tablet is working! :)

Thank you vampirefo for giving us the Options we needed! Totally appreciate all your hard work in discovering. . .

Question: What touch screen would this mean I have? being that I had to install bootloader you provided?
Question 2: Will that bootloader work for other roms posted on androidtablets.net for the coby kyros 7042 ie: pimpinstines rom, as I have had no luck with my touchscreen with some other roms. or is that multi-version bootloader just for cm9?
