i would love to get an android tablet but last year wanted a g1 and was told it would not work at all without a data plan.our phone company only allows data on black berry so do i need a data plan or even a sim card.

You can get a wifi only tablet and then no need for a data plan

like probb said you don't need a data plan or anything but you can still use your internet at home if you have wireless or even if you don't you can still use it.

I would like to say thank you to everyone for there help and trouble you once more for an opinion.I was look to buy a 7" techpad from china would this work just off of wifi (no sim card)
