Having WiFi connect automatically to any open access point

I've tried a number of wifi utilities, but I haven't found one that would automatically connect to an open hotspot. Does anyone know of a way to get the Nook to just connect to any available connection?

Not sure if or how well this app works but..

wefi from WeFi - Find Free Wi-Fi anywhere and Friends everywhere!
Says it connects automatically to the strongest network, with internet connectivity test.

I'm a little nervous about the permissions Wefi asks for, but it looks like a winner otherwise. I'm anxious to try it out in public. Thanks!

I've been using wefi for about a week now and I love it....it works!!!!
