If they are the same then yes, make a backup first, then you can restore the backup if something goes wrong.

Are you sure your tablet has cwm recovery?

It is part of the root_restore.bat procedure, or so it seems.
and the procedure I am following is with the option "stock image recovery" as Ronin did.

The modified image he sent me is smaller than the original. I think that might be because it has been 'tweaked'.
I got temporary root, with all the tools from this forum, then followed the instructions using stock recovery image, if memory serves me right.

I just discovered that I'm having problems with my sd card I'll try to fix that before trying again.

All the descriptions of your case are exactly as mine, all the steps you took before were the same I took, and the tablet seems the same, so ...

I finaly got it. The problem was (or is I'm not sure yet) a virus or something in my sd card, it corrupted the files from the PC to the SD. Files disappeard or were corrupted, formated a thousend times and finaly seems to be working again.
But the thing is that following the same steps as Ronin I finally got every thing running and rooted.
