How to delete email address

I just bought a MID 8.5in. Android Tablet. It seems the seller has used it for a while and registered her email address.

I tried the suggestion of one AT member: Settings > Manage App > Google Search > Clear Data... but the process did not seem to work.

Any other tips, please?

I think if you want to register a tablet to a new email address you need to do a "Factory Reset" on it. That clears out all user data and when you reboot it will go through the whole registration process again.

Settings > Privacy > Factory Data Reset

Some people have done that and had it reset into a foreign language. If that happens to you the registration screen can be bypassed (press all four corners of the screen in a clockwise pattern and it will bypass Google activation). Then Menu>Settings(Dial icon)>Language & Keyboard (A... icon)>Select Language(first setting in list)>English (or language of choice)
