How to let Archos 101 read my imac

I have the upnp set up from my pc at home but how can i get my achos 101 to read video files from my imac?

That is an excellent question and the only way I have heard is setting up SMB on the IMac and PC and access that way. Which is way kludgey. I remember this being asked on one of the forums but I think it was in relation to a Mac Mini. Search the forum and google for: Archos 101 media streaming OSX or replace OSX with Mac

nothing panned out. i tried xbmc but i guess my mac version is too old. i have 10.4.11...anyone else want to chime in let me know

Quick question:
I've set up my shared folders on my Win7 PC, WiFi enabled. On Archos 101 I go to 'Files' > Network > Shared folders (SMB) > [MyPC'sName] > [tap] > enter username and password!
WTF!
I don't have an username or password!
My account username is Win7, my shared folders pass is 00000000 ?
what now?
