Is this a Gome FlytouchII? arrived yesterday and it wont bootup.

Hi,

this is my sad story:

One of my friends dad has been in China and bought this 10" tablet for me. I tried to put in on yesterday. This happened:

1- I connect the tablet with the charger, the light on tablet front shows red.
2- I hold down the power button, it gives a vibration sound for a second, shows logo "infotmc" and then a screenimage of a cloud/lightening, and then shuts down.
3- I click on the power button. When the cloud/lightening-image come, I hold down the power button + menu button, gradually the image gets dimmer and dimmer, and then the screen gets blank and shuts down.
4- And here i am now. The charging light comes on, and the tablet vibrates when I press the power switch. but the screen stays blank. I don't recall seeing this problem in any thread or forum.
5- If i charge the tablet for some time, the charging light starts blinking in red. God knows what this means ?

Is the tablet gone and dead ?? today i bought an microsd card, thought i might install an firmware on it and try to start the tablet. But i dont even know the exact make of this 10" tablet and what firmware to install on it.

Ive taken pictures of my tablet, could someone please verify if this is a flytouchII or something else ? Here are links to the tablet pictures:

It is a Gome Flytouch II
Try following the update instructions link to in my Signature. The update should work if your tablet's functional.
Btw, before you start, make sure you have a written copy of the registration code.

Ive followed your instructions, but my problem is how to get tablet in recovery mode, as the screen is blank

Press the key sequence listed in the thread and then it's the bottom option (just keep hitting vol - about 6 times then menu) Remember to follow the rest of it exactly... It could be you have a faulty screen though

i tried with htting vol- about 6 times then menu...no response, just the start vibration.....this seems gone
