Yeah i really like the density to 180 too. I think that is the best setting for the 7022.

Is the difference very noticeable compared to the stock setting? One of the weak points I thought on the 7022 was the sharpness of the display. I am not rooted but would not hesitate if this modification is worth it. Would you mind posting a before and after screenshot?

Thanks

The difference is really noticeable I like the screen much better now. Before the android man (top left) was all shortened and fat because of the weird default 7022 is set too. For a comparison since I did not take screen shots you can go to your settings menu then look at my screen shot and see how many items show up for you. I will try to get comparison screenshots of 180 vs 190 vs 200 (stock) in a little bit.

nba1341, Could you post instructions? Thanks in advance.

If you are rooted, use root explorer or another file eexplorer that allows your to mount r/w.
1) Navigate to "/system"
2) Mount R/W and then open build.prop in Text Editor
3) scroll down a little bit till you find "ro.sf.lcd_density = 200"
4) Change value to 180 or another setting of your choice. (Preferably tens but fives works too I was using 185 before)
5) Safe file (Root Explorer will create a build.prop.bak file so you have a backup)
6) Then reboot

If you want to just test densitys before changing the build.prop download LCDDensity for Root and change then change density to an option of your choice and for reboot method use "Kill"

Comparisons:
200 (DEFAULT)
200_1.jpg

200_2.jpg

200_3.jpg

180 (NEW)
180_1.jpg

180_2.jpg

180_3.jpg

Best if comparing images on the tablet so changes can be seen much much easier.

With the default lcd density settings, all-day events on Google Calendar don't show any text in the 7 day view. Does this change fix this?

Thanks,

Brian

After installing BusyBox and LCD Resolution, I was able to change to 170. This fixes the Google Calendar issue.

Thanks!

I've tried 190, 185, 180, 175, 170, 165, 161 (the setting in cyanogen) and 160...175 seems to be the absolute best for this tablet...but its all about preference...thanks for the share on this..i'm always looking for something to do on this tab

in my 7022 root explorer don't work to change lcd density... on your device, what version of root explorer do you use? thanks...

Hello are you rooted? If so make sure root explorer has superuser permissions and make sure you select "Mount R/W" at the top before editing file.
