losing clockwork recovery? possible

I am thinking of getting a gtablet and will most likely be modding it to another rom. What I am wondering is is there a possibility of accidentally wiping out the recovery itself and screwing yourself over?

There is a chance..I did that. But then tried again with a different rom which worked.

It is possible yes, but on the G-tablet there is a thing called NVFlash that you can use as long as you have a PC. With it installed and setup you can recover from most issues if you really have to.
