need help resetting sylvania 7" mid tablet

My Sylvania mid tablet hangs on boot - it just sits at the animated sylvania logo.

There's nothing in the (anemic) doc about resetting the device. I've tried different combinations of the power button and the reset button, but nothing helps.

I got one email from someone at digitalgadgets, but it didn't help. I'm unable to reach them again via phone or email.

Is there a way to reset the device, or am I taking it back?

Looks like the support guy (one??) was sick, so I just heard back from him today.

It doesn't look like there's a way to reinstall, so they're going to replace the unit.
