Hello, first i'd like to say that A8 is not the upgrade for aPad, it's actually an Apad with Cortex A8 Processor and 8" touch screen.
As for your following mentioned tablet pc with android 1.6, i would suggest you to think twice before the purchase! Basically, i'd suggest every android tablet fan not to get a android tablet pc under android 2.1 OS.
