This seller has two up on ebay it come's with two of them, one work's I guess with a rooted google play on it, the other seems to be stuck on the boot screen, I guess from the listing it said the seller reset them both and after doing so the one just got stuck, I was wondering what the fix would be for it?

^^That is all the information I can give, I was just curious incase if I did win this auction, I wanted to have both working so I would have one and my Mother could also have one to play with.

All depends how well you know android and Coby tablets, could be easy fix, might not be. I could fix the tablet most likely but, have zero interest in these tablets. The working tablet is worth $20 the broken tablet $10 consider that before you bid, Up to you how much you are willing to pay for them, I just gave you the price, I think they are worth.

P.S. I am not available to guide you through fixing the broken one either. You are on your own.

Well figured if I could get it at around 25-30 for the pair that be fine, and will admit my knowledge with tablets is not up to par, but I can learn easily since my computer repair is beyond scope, just curious to know the main error that after reset would make the screen boot into the android logo and be stuck.

Many things can cause that particular problem. It is probably quite easy to fix IF THE TABLET HAS A CUSTOM RECOVERY. If it does, and if you can find system dumps on this forum for it, you are probably OK. If it only has the stock recovery things can get a bit stickier. Either way plan on taking a lot of time.

Now that I got, I have all the time in the world to do stuff, I want to learn since Tablets are actually new to me really, and figured with this one it will be a good starting point for me to learn and grasp. Got to start some where!.

Well, that's how I started, with a Coby 9742. I still have it, and use it regularly. I suggest you start reading here:
http://www.androidtablets.net/threads/livesuite-obsolete.48431/
System dumps are here:
http://www.androidtablets.net/threa...-for-coby-generation-3-devices-part-ii.57078/
Traveller1701's Windows utilities here:
http://www.androidtablets.net/threads/read-first-development-index-and-root-utility.45321/
And my Linux-ADB image here:
http://www.androidtablets.net/threads/live-linux-cd-w-adb-fastboot-updated.71055/

At this point, we hope your 8048s have not been flashed with Livesuit, but I'm afraid the chances are that they have. If they have Play Store installed, but only a stock recovery, it's almost certain. Search this forum for how to boot your model into recovery. If it boots and shows a dead green Android guy and an exclamation point, you have stock recovery. If it shows a hat logo, and gives a menu and a version number, then you have ClockworkMod recovery and are as good as gold.

There's a link to vampirefo's fake_7036_recovery in this post: http://www.androidtablets.net/threads/coby-kyros-8048-dump.66275/page-4#post-319946

It's a fake clockworkmod recovery zip file that you can copy to a Microsd card and run through the stock recovery to restore the tablet software with a backup made on a functioning 8048.

To boot into recovery with the 8048, power off, then hold volume-down and power buttons down simultaneously for about ten seconds until you see the stock Android system recovery. If the tablet won't power off, then stick an uncoated paper clip or wire into the reset hole that's located on the right edge of the tablet between the miniHDMI and microUSB outlets while pressing the volume-down and power buttons.

To try and restore the tablet that's stuck on the Coby logo screen you will also need to have copied to your MicroSD card a backup made with the fake_7036_recovery either from your working tablet or the backup I made from my 8048 which there is a link to download in the post I cited above.
