Just wondering at what cpu speed and governor people are using. I have two Coby tablets. 8042 and 7042.

8042 setup
cpu 1.152 ghz
governor performance

7042 setup
cpu 1.104
governor performance
note the 7042 has been modified by me to by pass Cobys max of 960

Bypassing the Coby max requires modifying the mbr files, not really for everyone. This weekend I will make update.zip to make the modifications.

nice, this is good news! 1.104mhz is the maximum stable OC you can get from the 7042? you feel the tablet hotter than before? thanks for making this tablet better.

vamp ive been using this
ondemand and deadline
i tweaked ondemand to
cpuinfo_transition_latency - 100000 default is 200000 and i think its locked in the kernel have no idea if this works
sampling_down_factor - 5
sampling_rate - 100000 default is 200000 and i think its locked in the kernel have no idea if this works
sampling_rate_min 100000 default is 200000 and i think its locked in the kernel have no idea if this works
up_threshold - 85
deadline is tweaked to
fifo_batch - 1
writes_starved - 1
set min feq to 264mhz lowest w/o ui lag
i dont think all the cpu steps are stable i would get random reboots with 300mhz set for min should test each with games/movie players/benchmarks

now i wish i could get a really good deep sleep
basically i want a great preformance with screen on and best battery savings with it off. my screen off drain has been kind of high i lost 13% while i slept id like to get it to about <=1% an hour.

Have you tried putting it into flight mode when you aren't using it?

I leave my 9742 in flight mode unless I want to connect to WiFi and I will see ~2% drop in power over eight hours when not in use.

I made one but no way I can test it as I don't have goodix.

7042_oc_mbr_goodix.zip
thanks vamp however i think you should set the default clock speed back to 960 and maybe set the governor to performance default.
because some people may have issues if they cant overclock on boot; furthermore, 1.1 seems to make my tab buggy :( artifacts and reboots maybe my silicon is the boo boo.
edit - i seem to crash on 1.004 as well, tab is stuck in bootloop!

Your crashing maybe due to the scripts you are running, you could damage your tablet. either run your script or oc but not both.
