What's the Most Reliable Tablet?

Hello,

I have never owned a tablet and I am looking to buy one. Only the following four criteria matter to me:

(i) The ability to read PDF-files.

(ii) The ability to make underlinings/annotations within PDF-files.

(iii) The ability to use a stylus.

(iv) The tablet should be no smaller than 7 inches and no larger than 8.

Any other functions/properties do not matter to me at all. All I need is a reliable workhorse.

So, what do you recommend?

Welcome to the forum

There is no hard answer for your original question but your point number 3 indicates you should consider a Galaxy Note. Any Android tablet can handle a stylus, (and do the other things you required depending on the app), but he Note tablets are designed for what they call an S Pen which is a pressure sensitive stylus and works very well.

Thanks for your reply. Considering that I am a complete novice in regard to tablets, the following is not entirely clear to me:

I had the impression that Samsung Galaxy Note (with stylus) is little different from Samsung Galaxy Tab (without stylus). The only difference between the two being the inclusion of a stylus and stylus-friendly apps with the former. Is this a wrong assumption on my part?
